System review
The system review is the basic assessment process used within ESQM. You can use this as a stand alone assessment, using standard Metrici review materials. This delivers an effective review of an existing system, quickly and cheaply.
A stand alone system review is a great way of getting to grips with systems that may be unfamiliar, for example systems brought in as part of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation.
When you are replacing an existing system, you need to fully understand what you are replacing. A system review gives you the complete picture. It helps build the business case for change. It makes sure that you repeat the successes of the existing system, but avoid the pitfalls.
Project review
When you are running a project, an ESQM project review quickly and effectively identifies what you need to do to reduce risks and deliver a high-quality solution.
The project review involves reviewing the project proposal, the project design, and the implemented system. This provides guidance in the early stages of the project, and assurance at the later stages.
The project review is suitable for both packaged systems and in-house developments.

Comparison and evaluation
You can use ESQM to support a system selection process, such as an Invitation to Tender (ITT), Request for Proposals (RFP) or Request for Information (RFI).
System selection processes can be very time consuming and expensive. Often they do not clearly identify the relative merits and issues with each option.
The ESQM "comparison and evaluation" process can be used to define requirements during a system selection, assess each competing option, and analyse the results.
ESQM saves time and money. It delivers a very effective comparison and evaluation of the options that gives objective scores and identifies issues with each option.

Metrici Advisor
Metrici Advisor is a web-based service that supports system reviews, project reviews, and comparison and evaluation processes.
Metrici Advisor is pre-loaded with best-practice templates, built from decades of experience of running reviews. You can use Metrici Advisor to complete a system or project review quickly and cheaply.
If you are running a system selection, the standard templates are a good starting point for your comparison and evaluation of options.
With a good knowledge of the system, a complete review using Metrici Advisor can take as little as two hours. The review produces management-level reports that summarise the findings, and back this up with all the necessary detail.
Where you don't have good knowledge of the system, Metrici Advisor guides you to the keys facts that matter, not mountains of unnecessary detail. A good planning assumption is that the fact-finding for a complete review takes 2-3 days. This is significantly faster than traditional consultancy, which can take weeks or months to review a single system.
